The Commission's revised proposals take into account the responses that were received in response to initial proposals published in January 2012, during two periods of extensive and informative public consultation. The proposals also continue to meet the requirements of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011, including a reduction in the number of constituencies in Wales from 40 to 30 and a more equal number of electors in each constituency (between 72,810 and 80,473).
The Commission's revised proposals report is available for download below; it is also accompanied by a report from the Assistant Commissioners who were appointed by the Commission to give an independent view and make recommendations based on the responses to the Commission's public consultation.
