The Boundary Commission for Wales announces it has commenced a review of the whole of Wales, in accordance with the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011. The review will not include consideration of proposals for the National Assembly for Wales constituencies or electoral regions.
The Commission are required to submit a report of their review by the end of September 2018. The Commission expect to complete the review within the statutory deadline.
The Commission’s recommendations will be based on the numbers of electors on the electoral registers as at 1 December 2015. These were announced by the Office for National Statistics on 24 February 2016.
