Professor Robert McNabb

Robert McNabb is Professor of Economics at Cardiff University where he was previously Dean of Cardiff Business School (2005-2010).

He has published extensively in top international scholarly journals and is the co-author of five books including Macroeconomics: European Text with Ben Bernanke, the current Chair of the US Federal Reserve. Professor McNabb has held visiting academic posts at the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of Tasmania.

In addition, Professor McNabb has worked as a consultant with a number of international and national organisations including the OECD in Paris, the United Nations Development Programme, the Welsh Government, the National Audit Office, the Office for National Statistics, and the States of Jersey.

Between 1993 and 2004, he was adviser on pay and conditions to the Police Superintendents’ Associations of England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Professor McNabb has been an Executive member and Treasurer of the Association of Business Schools, and is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales and of the Higher Education Academy.
