Mr Paul Loveluck

Paul Loveluck was brought up in Maesteg and graduated in economics at the (then) University College Cardiff.

He served in the Administrative Grade of the Civil Service from 1963 to 1984, first in the Board of Trade in London and then in the Welsh Office Cardiff.

From 1984 to 1996, he was Chief Executive of the Wales Tourist Board and, from 1996 to 2002, Chief Executive of the Countryside Council for Wales in Bangor.

His voluntary work has included Chairing the Governing Body of Whitchurch High School, Cardiff and, between 1998 and 2002, the Wales New Deal Advisory Task Force. He was President of the National Museum from 2002 to May 2011 and served as a JP between 1982 and 2002, initially on the Cardiff bench and subsequently in Montgomeryshire.
 
Awarded the CBE for services to the Tourism Industry.
